MONOCLE x BLACKBERRY
Luxury lifestyle magazine Monocle has collaborated with leading smartphone company Blackberry to produce a limited edition Bold 9700. On top of the regular accessories (battery, wall plug, international charger, headphones and 16GB memory card), the handset will also come with a Monocle leather/silver phone strap, exclusively designed wallpapers and an exciting 25/25 travel guide to the best business cities and resorts in the world.
I’m thinking this technology x lifestyle editorial collaboration may be the first of it’s kind, but definitely won’t be the last. Leading the pathway for future such projects, these limited edition collections will cater directly to the appropriate niche market whilst reinforcing it’s positioning not just in the technology market, but in the lifestyle sector as well.
With only 100 handsets in stock, I suspect these babies will be flying off the Monocle page where it retails at £750- Order yours HERE!
iPhone users will definitely feel an affinity with this website.
First in the series of stop-motion TV commercials for Amazon Kindle created by photographers Angela Kohler and Ithyle Griffiths, and starring actress Annie Little. Original song “Fly Me Away” written and performed by Annie Little.
I love how the quirky, day dreamy mood of the commercial succeeds in getting across that even though Kindle is technology, the pure joy of reading is not lost.

An invention by Germany company “Gold to Go”, these “Gold ATMs” have just been officially launched at the Emirates Palace Hotel. It’s no surprise that Dubai is the company’s first choice for international expansion, given the country’s rich history in gold and high flying, larger than life character. The ATMs will dispense customizable gold bars and gold coins ranging from 1/10th ounce to 10grams.
